YOUR INITIAL LIFT DETAILS
Enter the load weight only. The guide adds the hook-block weight and a separate allowance for slings and lifting accessories.
The horizontal distance from the centre of the crane to the load. An estimate is fine for an initial enquiry.
Height above crane setup level where the load needs to be placed. The guide reserves 5 m below the boom tip for the hook, slings and load. Tell us about obstructions or extra headroom needed.
Guide allowances & chart coverage
Starts at 0.5 t for slings and accessories; adjust this to the actual gear weight when known. The guide adds a suitable published hook-block weight separately.
The load, lifting gear and hook block are compared directly with the stated chart capacity. We allow 5 m headroom below the boom tip for an initial enquiry. Actual gear weights, reeving, headroom and crane configuration must be confirmed.
Connected charts: 35, 40, 60, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 150, 160, 230, 450 tonnes. These use selected main-boom configurations, full chart support bases and stated ballast. Other models, jibs and restricted outrigger setups need individual assessment. The small-crane reference is a 35-tonne LTM 1030; a specific 30-tonne crane needs its own chart checked.
The final crane size is confirmed after assessing the load, working radius, height, access and ground conditions. Leave any unknown measurements blank.
